I’m not averse to a ginger beard! Here they are everywhere you turn. Apparently it’s part religious (Mohammed is believed to have hennaed his beard) and part anti-aging statement!  

Out and about in Old Dhaka this afternoon we stumbled across a classical dance studio. The young women were an eye-catching sight.

Hectic, hot, humid Dhaka is home for the next nine nights. Today, after 20 hours of travel, I look out on it from the comfort of a 10th floor, air conditioned room. Tomorrow, the adventure (and work!) begins…
