I don’t get the January blues; I love the energy of a new year. My enthusiasm to ‘get shit done’ and solve work and personal problems that have been niggling me is in overdrive. But bloody hell, the weather gets on my nerves! This morning I looked out the window and thought ‘I need colour!’.

So here is Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, South India. Meenaksi is a riot of colour, noise and smell that receives 15,000 visitors a day and 25,000 on a Friday. they come in droves to worship the 33,000 sculptures in the complex. Although technically a terrible photo riddled with camera shake, I love the image because it sums up the utter chaos and bonkers experience of getting lost in these corridors.
